Two Arrested Under Public Safety Act in Samba, Jammu

Jammu, Indian authorities in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir have arrested two individuals, Radhey Sham and Shiv Dayal, under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA), citing threats to public peace and tranquility.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the two residents of the region, from Shahzadpur tehsil Ramgarh and Chohala Kothey, tehsil R.S Pura respectively, have been detained and subsequently lodged in Kathua Jail. The use of PSA, described by critics as draconian, highlights ongoing tensions and the stringent security measures in place in the area.
