UAE Ambassador Meets Pakistan Defense Minister to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Rawalpindi: The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, met with Pakistan’s Minister for Defence, Defence Production and Aviation, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, in Islamabad today to discuss enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in civil and defence sectors.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting focused on appreciating the transformative leadership of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, President and Supreme Commander of the UAE armed forces. Minister Asif emphasized the significant contributions of Pakistani nationals to various sectors in the UAE and expressed Pakistan’s ongoing support for the UAE. The discussions also covered potential for increased cooperation between the armed forces of the two nations and ways to expand the aviation sector.

Matters related to the commercial and civil aviation sectors of both countries were also deliberated upon to broaden the scope of collaboration in the aviation field. The meeting underscores a mutual interest in strengthening the existing ties and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
