UN Libya Mission welcomes agreement to humanitarian Eid truce

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has welcomed the agreement by concerned parties to the principle of humanitarian truce on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

In a statement published on its official website on Saturday, the Mission called on the parties to the conflict to respect the agreement to the letter, to uphold the sanctity of Eid and ensure the interest of Libyans.

“UNSMIL remains at the disposal of the various parties to ensure optimal implementation of the truce,” the Mission added in the statement
