UNICEF calls for end to “brutal war on children” in Yemen

The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has called for an end to a “brutal war on children” in Yemen.

A senior official of UN’s children’s agency, Geert Cappelaere while talking in Amman, said the number of severely malnourished children in the country has doubled in three years from 200,000 in 2015.

The official said an additional half a million boys and girls can no longer go to school.(AP)
