United States Consulate General Peshawar call on the Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw Minister for Sports

Peshawar: Maria S.Anglarill, Public Affairs Officer, US Consulate General Peshawar made a courtesy call on the Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw Minister for Sports, Tourism, Youth Affairs and Arheaology Syed Aqil Shah on Tuesday and discussed mutual cooperation in the development of various sectors in Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw including sports, tourism, youth affairs and archaeological sites.

Mitchell R. Moss, Counsellor for Public Affairs, U.S Embassy Islamabad, Secretary Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw Jamalud-Din Shah and Director General Sports, Tourism Engineer Khan Zeb were also present on the occasion.

Syed Aqil Shah informed that Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw has a great potential in developing tourism, sports and archaeological sites. He said the government was developing health tourism resort at Garam Chishma, ski resort at Malam Jaba , Cable Car at Saiful Maluk, youth hostels at Naran and Chitral while water sports at Khan Pur. Ms. Marcia appreciated the provincial government efforts in promoting tourism and sports in the province and extended her government cooperation in the sustainable development of tourism, sports, youth affairs and archaeological sites.

The exchange of youth visitors in various areas was also discussed. It was decided on the occasion that follow up meeting regarding cooperation in developing various sectors as well as exchange of youth visitors would also be held. Provincial Sports and Tourism Minister Syed Aqil Shah thanked the visiting guest for assuring cooperation in the development of various sectors in Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw.
