Uzbek-Pakistani Business Forum Highlights Bilateral Economic Partnerships

Tashkent: An Uzbek-Pakistani Business Forum was held in Tashkent, complementing the 9th Intergovernmental Commission meeting on Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. This event aimed to strengthen bilateral economic partnerships and facilitate business-to-business (B2B) interactions. The forum saw participation from 25 Pakistani companies across various sectors, alongside over 100 representatives from leading Uzbek enterprises.

According to Press Information Department, these B2B meetings spanned multiple industries, including textiles, food processing, engineering, and logistics. Nearly 100 B2B meetings took place, enabling companies to explore ventures, discuss partnerships, and establish trade connections. The sessions sought to promote investment and mutual growth by leveraging the economic strengths of both countries.

Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, addressed the forum, highlighting Pakistan’s investment-friendly environment and encouraging Uzbek businesses to consider projects in Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of such interactions in enhancing commercial ties and contributing to regional economic stability. Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, welcomed Pakistani enterprises and reiterated the Uzbek government’s support for international partnerships. He noted the forum’s role in advancing trade and investment, thus creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs.

The forum reinforced the outcomes of the Intergovernmental Commission meeting, demonstrating a shared vision for robust economic engagement. The B2B exchanges provided a practical approach to strengthening commercial bonds and laid the groundwork for future cooperative projects.
