Karachi, April 23, 2014 (PPI-OT): P@SHA member Viper Technology has recently unveiled its new mini-desktop PC – Viper LAVA with an Intel Bay Trail processor. The Viper LAVA is expected to roll in the markets by mid-April.
With a price slightly under PKR 20,000, Viper LAVA supports Windows and other operating systems and weighs less than 7 ounces, making it a bit more compact than even a Viper N series (Intel NUC) computer.
Due to its low power components, LAVA could be powered from an external battery pack when the user is away from a wall jack. Besides, it also uses passive cooling thanks to a fan less heat sink.
Key features include:
– The Viper Lava measures 4.6? x 2.8? x 2.2?
– 2GB of RAM, 32GB / 64GB of storage
– 1 USB 3.0 port, 1 USB 2.0 port, HDMI, VGA and Ethernet jacks,
– 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.
Viper Technology plans to offer the LAVA mini PC kit first in emerging markets where it could be positioned as a low-cost PC. Eventually it could make it to more developed markets where the system could be sold as a home entertainment PC.
