Women education is imperative for national progress and development in world: Minister Dr. Tariq Fazal

Islamabad, March 16, 2016 (PPI-OT):Minister of State Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD), Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary Wednesday said that women education is imperative for the national progress and development in the world. Addressing a seminar regarding Women Day held here at Islamabad Model College for Girls G‑6/1, he said that Islam has given immense rights to the women and they have been playing pivotal role for bringing change in the society right from the beginning of the Islam.

Referring the role of women in the Pakistan movement 1947, he said “our nation can compete the world by making these women an example. Tariq Fazal further said the women role in the society was very important as they were more than 50% of the population. It was not wise to leave half the population un‑utilized in national development pursuits, he added.

The federal government was making all out efforts for the women empowerment and education, he said and added, the women protection bill passed by the Punjab Assembly was an example in this regard. The minister of state hoped that other provinces would also take necessary step for the women rights. This bill, he said would provide safety to women in the society and those working in different institutions.
