Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Agriculture Minister Reviews Development Plans for Upcoming Fiscal Year

Peshawar, In a thorough review meeting, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister of Agriculture, Major Retired Sajjad Barkwal, examined the Agricultural Development Program (ADP), Annual Implementation Plan (AIP), and Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the fiscal year 2024-25. The meeting focused on enhancing agricultural productivity and introducing innovative agricultural practices across the province.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the session involved detailed discussions on both new and ongoing agricultural schemes. Minister Barkwal emphasized the importance of making barren lands arable and the solarization of tube wells to improve irrigation. He also directed an increase in the number of agricultural research centers and the initiation of saffron and olive production projects, reflecting a strategic move to diversify and strengthen the agricultural sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
