Work on the construction of Gomal Zam irrigation project is in progress in South Waziristan agency and it will be completed by the end of next year.
Official sources told Radio Pakistan Peshawar correspondent the project is jointly funded by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and USAID.
The project is being completed at a cost of over three billion rupees by next year.
After completion of the project, one hundred and ninety one thousand acres of barren land in Tank and D.I. Khan districts will come under cultivation.
