World Culture Festival in Karachi to Enhance Pakistan’s Global Image, says Sindh Governor

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori praised the upcoming World Culture Festival, expressing optimism that the event will bolster Pakistan’s international reputation. In a meeting at Governor House, Tesori commended Arts Council of Pakistan President Ahmed Shah and his team for their efforts in organizing the festival, which he believes will project a positive image of Pakistan globally.

According to Sindh Governor House, the Governor expressed these views during a meeting with Ahmed Shah, where they discussed the details of the World Culture Festival scheduled to take place in Karachi from September 26 to October 30, 2024. In this briefing, Shah revealed that the festival would feature participation from artists across 40 countries, including performers from Palestine. The event is set to host more than 450 artists who will showcase their talents in 40 theaters, and include 55 music performances, 50 dance acts, 20 workshops, 10 talks, and 5 fine art exhibitions.

Governor Tesori’s endorsement highlights the significance of the event not just culturally but also in terms of international diplomacy and cultural exchange. The festival aims to provide a platform for artists from diverse backgrounds to converge in Karachi, thereby promoting a soft image of Pakistan on the global stage.
