World mountains day is being observed in Gilgit Baltistan on Wednesday (11th December).
A function in this regard was held at press Club Skardu.
Radio Pakistan Gilgit, and Skardu are broadcasting special programs to highlight the importance of mountains as the area is important and famous for its scenic mountains.
Besides second highest peak in the world K-2, Gilgit Baltistan is also home to eight other world famous peaks.
