100 political prisoners shifted outside Kashmir Valley jails

Srinagar, August 06, 2020 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a hundred political prisoners including Hayat Ahmed Butt and Javed Ahmed Munshi were shifted, today, from Srinagar Central Jail to various prisons outside the Kashmir Valley.

The political prisoners illegally detained under black law Public Safety Act amid COVID-19 situation were shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail and other prisons of Jammu region. The families of the detainees have urged the UN and world human rights organizations including Amnesty International to take cognizance of the plight of the Kashmiri prisoners and play role in their immediate release.
