14th death anniversary of religious scholar Dr. Israr Ahmed observed

Renowned religious scholar Dr. Israr Ahmed’s 14th death anniversary was observed on Sunday.

Dr. Israr Ahmed was born on 26th April, 1932 and graduated from King Edwards College Lahore in 1954.

He received Master’s degree in Islamic studies from Karachi University in 1965.

Later he devoted his life for trying to reawaken interest in Quran-based Islamic philosophy. Dr. Israr Ahmed has sixty books to his credit on different aspects of Islam besides numerous audio and video lectures on teachings of Quran.

The religious scholar was honored with Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 1981 in acknowledgement of his services in religious instruction.
