1st shipment of Russian crude oil to arrive at Oman Port: Mussadik

Islamabad, May 25, 2023 (PPI-OT): The first shipment of one hundred thousand tons crude oil from Russia is expected to anchor at Oman Port by end of this month from where it will be gradually brought to Pakistani ports by small ships. This was stated by Minister of State for Petroleum Dr Musadik Malik while talking to media in Islamabad.

He explained that the oil shipment would be anchored at Oman port just because of the logistic issues. The Minister said the annual demand for petrol and diesel in Pakistan is 20 million tons, while local production only accounts for 10 to 11 million tons annually.
