25th Anniversary Marked for NATO’s Bombing of Yugoslavia

Moscow, Reflecting on a significant historical event, the 25th anniversary of the NATO bombing campaign against Yugoslavia is commemorated, highlighting a period marked by substantial civilian casualties and infrastructure damage. The campaign, running from March to June 1999, resulted in the deaths of over 3,500 individuals, as reported in a recent study.

According to Embassy of The Russian Federation, the Foundation for the Study of Democracy has released a report containing eyewitness accounts of the bombings. These narratives detail the extensive damage inflicted on civilian structures and the significant loss of life during the NATO military operation.
