52% believe winters are becoming more severe. Gilani Poll/Gallup Pakistan

Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan 52% believe winters are becoming more severe.

It may be noted that perceptions can be shaped by temperature in the recent most days, and may not correspond with actual meteorological data.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “In your opinion, the intensity of cold in your area has increased, decreased or has there been no difference recently?” Responding to this 52% believe that the intensity of cold has increased, 20% believe it has decreased whereas 27% believe that there has been no difference.

Question: “In your opinion, the intensity of cold in your area has increased, decreased or has there been no difference recently?”
