AJK President Commemorates Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, Highlights Continued Struggle for Freedom

Islamabad: On the eve of Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry reaffirmed the region’s commitment to the Kashmiri independence movement, marking July 13 as a significant date that commemorates the sacrifices made by Kashmiri Muslims in 1931.

According to President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry’s special message emphasized the historical importance of the sacrifices made on this day, which continue to inspire and drive the independence movement in Occupied Kashmir. He stated that these sacrifices have kept the spirit of resistance alive, fueling the ongoing struggle against occupation.

The President also assured Kashmiris living across the Line of Control of unwavering support from the Base Camp Government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, especially during times of hardship, reinforcing a sense of unity and shared destiny in their quest for freedom. He highlighted the new phase of the Azad-e-Kashmir movement, crediting the resilience and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people with compelling India to acknowledge their spirit of freedom and resulting in a demoralized occupying force.
