All Pakistan Compressed Natural Gas Association says gas loadshedding despite normalisation of weather proves government’s unsympathetic attitude towards masses

Islamabad, February 04, 2013 (PPI-OT): The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) on Monday said gas load shedding despite normalisation of weather proves government’s unsympathetic attitude towards masses reeling under multiple problems.

The province of Punjab is being victimised on purpose by the federal government to settle scores, said Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha, Chairman Supreme Council APCNGA.

Speaking to CNG operators and transporters from Sahiwal, Okara, Renala Khurd, Pakpattan, and Depalpur, he said that gas pressure in pipelines has improved but government is not ready to revise the controversial load shedding schedule.

The attitude of authorities amounts to punishing masses and destroy investments to the tune of Rs 400 billion in the CNG sector, he added.

He said that Adviser to PM on Petroleum Dr. Asim engineered the energy crisis to introduce costly LPG and LNG in country and catch commission to the tune of billions in the liquid gas import deals.

Asim should immediately resign for his failures and pushing country into a crisis that has compromised growth rate and lives of millions of innocent people, Paracha demanded.

Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha announced to reopen all CNG outlets in district Sahiwal from Thursday 6 am and added that government has planned massive unrest by refusing to revise load shedding schedule to fulfil their unholy designs.

Acting Chairman APCNGA Sahiwal Mian Amjad, General Secretary Zeeshan, President APCNGA Okara Mehr Khalid, and others also spoke on the occasion. They said that they would continue to strive for their rights and will offer every sacrifice for their rights.
They said that CNG station owners will stage a sit-in for indefinite period to press for acceptance of their demanded.

Transporters said that ruling cabal has become addicted to massive corruption despite hue and cry on the part of masses and international independent bodies. They will reap what they sow.
