Alliance gets warm welcome at City markets

Lahore, September 16, 2013 (PPI-OT): PIAF-Founders Alliance on Monday got a very warm welcome at McLeod Road, Brandreth Road, Bilal Gunj and Ferozepur Road.

The Alliance leaders and candidates when reached McLeod Road were received by Sewing Machine and Auto Markets leaders and pledged to support the Alliance candidates in upcoming LCCI election scheduled for September 23 and 24.

The Alliance leaders including Mian Misbahur Rehman, Iftikhar Ali Malik, Mian Shafqat Ali and Muhammad Ali Mian, Malik Tahir Javaid and Abdul Basit threw light on Alliance manifesto and promised to resolve the issues being faced by the businessmen attached with Sewing machine and auto sectors.

At Ferozepur Road, Chaudhry Mahboob Ali Sirki, Tahir Mehmood Bhatti, Syed Waqas Shah, Haji Muhammad Yaqoob, Haji Muhammad Traders, Imran Younis and Athar Ali Kazmi welcomed the Alliance leadership and candidates.

Chaudhry Mehboob Ali Sirki on the occasion announced that all Ferozepur Road businessmen would support Alliance during Chamber of Commerce and Industry elections.

At Bilal Gunj, Anjuman-e-Tajran Bilal Gunj, leaders including Dr. Kamil Ali Agha, Qayyum Khan, Muhammad Atif, Islam Tara and Mian Muhammad Aslam arranged a reception in honor of PIAF-Founders Alliance.

Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Ali Mian and Shahzad Ali Malik said that Bilal businessmen would be given proper representation in the LCCI standing Committees.

They also appreciated the trading community role in preparation of LCCI budget proposals. They said that the Alliance had decided to give special focus on Solar Energy, Halal Food, Textiles and Textile Made-ups, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, High Tech Engineering, Footwear and Embroidery sectors during the year to ensure an early economic turnaround.

The Alliance leaders said that these sectors had been given representation for upcoming LCCI elections with an objective to highlight the challenges being faced by these important sectors. They said that the areas of economy had been taken in the Alliance fold as they merit due public-private sectors attention.

The Alliance leaders said that the representatives of these sectors are considered as experts and would be contributing to the maximum for the cause of the business community.

They said that it was on record that despite multiple challenges the outgoing LCCI leadership utilized it’s all energies to keep the wheel of the economy on the run.

The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry spared no stone unturned to safeguard the interests of the business community and it would continue to do so in future as well.

Alliance candidates for Associate Class including Engineer Sohail Lashari, Khawaja Khawar Rasheed, Talha Tayyab, Raja Hamid Riaz, Rizwan Ali Khalid, Muhammad Haroon and Muhammad Akram and Corporate Class candidates Ijaz A. Mumtaz, Babar Mehmood Chaudhry, Naseeb Ahmad Saifi, Zafar Mehmood, Muhammad Saeed, Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry, Mian Muhammad Afzal and Maqsood Butt were also present in the meetings.
