Aneeq for collective efforts to establish healthy society

Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Aneeq Ahmed has stressed the need for collective efforts to establish a healthy society.

He was addressing a seminar on ‘Role of mosques, mimber and mehrab for healthy society at the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore.

The Minister suggested that there are over 250,000 mosques in the country which should be made a centre of medical and other facilities, giving them the status of community centres.

Aneeq Ahmed said that free medical camps have been established at the major mosques of the country whose scope would be extended to other areas of the country soon.

Speaking on the occasion, Caretaker Health Minister Dr Nadeem Jan commended the initiatives undertaken in the health sector, expressing confidence that these efforts would yield positive outcomes in future.
