Another Investors delegation to visit Pakistan: Javed Malik

Islamabad, May 10, 2015 (PPI-OT): Pakistan’s Ambassador at Large and PM’s Special Envoy Javed Malik would be leading a seven member international business delegation comprising of British, American and European business men representing UAE based and American companies. The delegation is being organized by Pakistan International Business Council and will be in Pakistan between 11th and 13th May 2015. Companies with a focus on energy and infrastructure development are part of the delegation that has shown keen interest in setting up a 6000 Megawatt power plant in Pakistan.

Speaking about the initiative, Ambassador Javed Malik said “ we have been actively working to highlight the business, trade and investment opportunities in Pakistan and engaging with international companies with a view to bring them to Pakistan to explore business, trade and investment opportunities. This visit is a clear manifestation of our efforts and underscores the confidence that the international business community is showing in Pakistan.

He appreciated the positive and encouraging policies of the government led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and said that innovative policies by the government has restored confidence in the international business community and we have been actively engaging with them to bring them to Pakistan. We will be meeting with relevant government Ministers with a view to giving a practical shape to their plans, he added.

We established Pakistan International Business Council as an economic diplomacy initiative that aims to promote and highlight the business opportunities in Pakistan and work closely with all government organizations to facilitate and support them in encouraging investment in Pakistan. We also provide a platform that connects international businessmen with their Pakistani counterparts. We are a forum that brings Overseas Pakistani businessmen and Friends of Pakistan on a single platform and work together for Pakistan.
