Anti-encroachment operation of CDA, demolition of more than 700 constructions

Islamabad, May 02, 2023 (PPI-OT):Anti-encroachment in Sector C-13, C-14, C-15 and Sector C-16 on the instructions of Capt. (Retd.) Noor-ul- Amin Mengal, Chairman CDA. According to details, CDA’s anti-encroachment operation in Sector C-13 continued despite the rain. In this ongoing operation in Sector C-13, 700 illegally constructed houses have been demolished.

A gardawar and a patwari have also been suspended for allegedly facilitating the occupation mafia. Gardawar Asif Ali and Patwari Tariq Jan Mohammad were suspended on complaints of construction on government land.

This operation has been started from Wednesday on the instructions of the Chairman CDA Capt. (Retd.) Noor-ul-Amin Mengal. In total, more than 850 illegally constructed houses have been demolished in Sector C-16, C-14 and Sector C-13. In this operation, about 800 kanals of Sector C-13 land will be cleared by Friday. In this operation, 15 farmhouses built on government land have also been demolished.

Member States are supervising the operation under the direction of Chairman CDA. These encroachments were a major obstacle in the development of the sector. Chairman CDA further said that the operation should be continued against illegal encroachments and sector development works should be accelerated.
