APHC-AJK Praises PM Shehbaz Sharif and COAS for Supportive Statements on Kashmir

Islamabad, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has expressed appreciation for recent statements by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, which have bolstered the morale of Kashmiris advocating for self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK chapter Convener Mahmood Ahmad Saghar commended the reaffirmed commitment of Pakistan’s leadership to support the Kashmiri cause both morally and diplomatically. Saghar highlighted that the Prime Minister and the Army Chief reiterated Pakistan’s stance against India’s claims on Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing that the region remains a disputed territory pending final status determination under international law. He also underscored the illegality of India’s occupation of Jammu and Kashmir as stated by Pakistani officials.

Saghar called for a swift and peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute, which he deemed essential for long-term peace in South Asia. He urged the international community to engage more actively in addressing the issue to prevent further alterations to the demographic makeup of Jammu and Kashmir by India.
