Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has declared that the occupation of Kashmir by India cannot be maintained indefinitely, forecasting the impending liberation of the region from what it describes as an illegal hold.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement from Srinagar, decried the escalating human rights violations and the continued incarceration of Hurriyet leaders, activists, and youths within both Indian jails and the occupied territory. He highlighted the detention of prominent figures such as APHC chairman Massarat Alam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, and many others, who remain imprisoned under harsh conditions.
Minhas criticized the oppressive measures, including cordon and search operations and raids on homes, asserting that such tactics would not dampen the Kashmiri people’s aspirations for freedom. He reiterated the commitment of the Kashmiri populace to persist in their struggle for liberation until achieving complete victory.
He reminded that Kashmir is acknowledged internationally as a disputed territory, with the United Nations having pledged to facilitate its resolution through the principle of self-determination. The APHC spokesman called upon the global community to take decisive action towards resolving the Kashmir dispute and to hold accountable those responsible for war crimes in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
