Asian Parliamentary Delegation Visits Pakistan’s National Emergency Operations Center

Islamabad: A delegation from the Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (AFPPD) visited the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) at Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) headquarters, focusing on enhancing regional cooperation in disaster management.

According to National Disaster Management Authority, the delegation, comprising parliamentarians from across Asia and Central Asia, received an extensive briefing on NEOC’s technological capabilities in disaster projection and predictive analysis. The visit emphasized the importance of proactive preparedness for natural disasters and climate change impacts.

Delegates from countries including Cambodia, Egypt, Japan, Jordan, Iraq, Laos, Maldives, Mongolia, Thailand, Turkmenistan, and Vietnam praised the establishment of NEOC and discussed strengthening partnerships to bolster disaster response capabilities throughout the region.
