The results were officially documented in Form VII, released by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

According to Election Commission of Pakistan, the detailed results from the form reveal that Mr. Zardari won a total of 716 valid votes, while his competitor, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, received 319 valid votes. The National Assembly granted Zardari a strong lead with 255 votes to Achakzai’s 119. In the Senate, Zardari continued his lead with 246 votes compared to 100 for Achakzai.
