Muzaffarabad, In a special statement issued today, Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar Haq, referred to the events of May 9 as a “dark chapter” in history, demanding stringent legal actions against those who desecrated the memorials of Pakistan’s martyrs. He emphasized the profound national respect for martyrs, who he described as the capital of the country, underscoring their ultimate sacrifices for the nation.

According to Press Information Department – Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Haq articulated a strong stance on the need for accountability and justice for the perpetrators of the May 9 incidents. He stressed that those responsible for the acts of desecration against the martyrs’ memorials are not worthy of forgiveness and must face strict action under the law. The Prime Minister’s statement reflects a broader call for upholding the dignity of national heroes and ensuring that such disrespectful acts are met with appropriate legal consequences.
