Balochistan Public Endowment Fund Approves Treatment for 377 Cases in Wide-reaching Health Initiative

Quetta: The 21st meeting of the Board of Directors of the Balochistan Public Endowment Fund, led by Parliamentary Secretary Social Welfare Haji Wali Muhammad Noorzai, convened to authorize medical treatment for 377 new cases from across the province, showcasing a significant healthcare effort.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the session included high-profile attendees such as Secretary Social Welfare and Special Education Abdul Rehman Buzdar and Director General Social Welfare Shujaat Ali Khoso. They discussed cases presented from several hospitals including Senar Hospital, Bolan Medical Hospital, and multiple Karachi-based hospitals like Aga Khan and Liaquat National. These cases involved patients suffering from severe illnesses such as cancer, heart diseases, and thalassemia.

The meeting highlighted the fund’s commitment to providing comprehensive care for serious ailments, including liver and kidney transplants and treatment for burn victims. Parliamentary Secretary Noorzai emphasized the meticulous inspection and approval of these cases, noting the fund’s transparency and its role in facilitating top-tier medical care for the underprivileged. He stressed the importance of giving these individuals the chance to lead healthy lives along with their families.

Secretary Buzdar pointed out the growing demand for the endowment’s services, attributing it to the fund’s reputation and effectiveness in leveraging provincial and national healthcare resources. Director General Khoso added that the fund’s efforts are an ongoing commitment to improving patient care and expanding partnerships with more hospitals to enhance access and treatment quality for Balochistan’s needy populations.
