Bank Alfalah Announces Credit of Second Interim Cash Dividend for Mid-Year 2024

Karachi: Bank Alfalah Limited has successfully credited the second interim cash dividend for the half-year period ended June 30, 2024. The dividend, set at 2 Rupees per share, which represents a 20% distribution, was directly transferred into the bank accounts of shareholders registered by the cut-off date, August 12, 2024. This distribution follows the resolution passed by the Board of Directors in their meeting on August 1, 2024.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the credited dividends pertain to shareholders who had updated their National Identity Card Numbers (CNIC) and bank details by the designated deadline. Shareholders can now verify their dividend receipts through the Centralized Cash Dividend Register (CCDR) managed by the Central Depository Company (CDC), offering an online record of all distributed dividends.

The announcement, detailed in newspaper clippings from the “Business Recorder” and “Express” dated August 25, 2024, emphasizes the bank’s adherence to the Companies (Distribution of Dividends) Regulations, 2017. The regulations mandate the withholding of dividend payments for shareholders who have not provided their CNIC or International Bank Account Number (IBAN). In response, Bank Alfalah has issued several reminders to affected shareholders to submit the required documentation to facilitate the release of withheld dividends.

Shareholders needing to update their records for future dividends are encouraged to submit their valid CNIC and complete banking details promptly to ensure compliance and receipt of all due dividends.
