Bengaluru Court Sends Prajwal Revanna to 14 Days Judicial Custody in Sexual Abuse Case

Bengaluru, In the Indian state of Karnataka, Janata Dal-Secular leader Prajwal Revanna, an ally of the ruling BJP, has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days following his arrest in connection with a rape and obscene video scandal involving women.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the 42nd Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) court issued the order to send Prajwal Revanna to judicial custody for 14 days. Following the court’s decision, police took Revanna to Central Prison, Bengaluru. Revanna was arrested in the early hours of May 31 after returning from Munich, Germany. He had fled the country shortly after the Lok Sabha polls on April 26 in southern Karnataka.
