Srinagar: In a recent development, the BJP-led administration in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has allocated substantial land to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for the establishment of a new battalion.

According to Kashmir Media Service, The Revenue Department, acting on directives from the Lieutenant Governor’s office, transferred 53 kanals and three marlas of state land to the CRPF’s 53rd battalion located in Kitchama, Baramulla district. The order specifies that the CRPF must comply with all relevant legal provisions, including those pertaining to revenue, housing, urban development, forest conservation, and water resources management, prior to using the land.

The conditions attached to the land transfer stipulate that the CRPF must take possession of the property within 30 days and fully utilize it within three years. Failure to meet these conditions will result in the land reverting to the state government.
