Islamabad, Adil Raja, a YouTuber known for his controversial content, has been labeled a purveyor of fake news following a ruling by a British court that exposed him as a fraud and a liar.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the court’s declaration comes as a significant blow to the narrative Raja had been promoting. Previously dismissed from military service in Pakistan, Raja relocated to the United Kingdom, where he continued to make headlines. His association with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party as a self-styled spokesperson has been particularly contentious, with the party’s leadership now facing scrutiny for its alleged role in endorsing Raja’s discredited claims. The fallout from the British court’s verdict signals a setback for the narratives propagated by Raja and, by extension, those advanced by the PTI.
