BSF Shooting Injures Three Bangladeshi Farmers at Lalmonirhat Border

Lalmonirhat, Three Bangladeshi farmers were injured after being shot by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) personnel along the Hatibandha frontier in the Lalmonirhat district, near the border with India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred as the farmers were working in their fields between sub-pillars 8 and 9 near main border pillar number 893, which is inside Bangladesh’s territory. Naik Subedar Safizul Islam, the commander of the BGB’s Singimari BOP Camp, confirmed the firing incident. One of the injured was identified as Altab Hossain, 55, while the identities of the other two farmers remain undisclosed.

This shooting incident raises concerns over border security measures and the safety of civilians in border areas.
