The Minister said the President is a symbol of the Federation under the constitution and he should better fulfill his responsibilities in accordance with the constitution.

He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is an important registered political party with number of spokespersons, who can use every source to lodge their grievances.

The Minister said the President is the supreme commander of the armed forces as enshrined in the constitution, but why he did not take any action when the sensitive installations were attacked on May 9 and a malicious campaign was run against the Army Chief and the military institutions.

He said the President should be impartial, but issuing such statements he is showing his partiality.

Murtaza Solangi questioned that how many times the President wrote letters when massive human rights violations were perpetrated, journalists were attacked, sanctions were imposed on media, opponents were arrested under fake charges and cases registered in the NAB during the PTI’s four years term in the government.

He said if any party or individual had any complaint regarding level-playing field in the elections, they could lodge their complaints in the Election Commission as it is functioning independently in the country.
