Islamabad: The Central Development Working Party has approved three projects worth 12.524 billion rupees. The CDWP, which met in Islamabad today with Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal in the chair, also recommended two projects with a total cost of 56.823 billion rupees to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council for further consideration.
According to Radio Pakistan, the approved projects include the “Development of Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response System with Public Health Laboratories Network and Workforce Development for Transition of Field Epidemiology Training and Laboratory Program,” which costs 7,484.251 million rupees. Additionally, “Strengthening Points of Entry and Border Health Services Pakistan, Karachi,” valued at 2,864.982 million rupees, received approval from the forum.
The CDWP also sanctioned the “Strengthening and Up-gradation of Cardiology Department and Others at Federal Government Polyclinic Hospital, Islamabad,” with a budget of 2,174.930 million rupees.
In addition to these approvals, the CDWP referred the “Sehat Sahulat Program,” costing 40,188.216 million rupees, and the “Establishment of Jinnah Hospital at G-11/3, Islamabad” to the ECNEC for further consideration.
