Karachi: Century Paper and Board Mills Limited has officially announced the election of seven new directors at an Extraordinary General Meeting held on July 12, 2024. The newly elected directors will serve for a term of three years starting from July 17, 2024.
The board of directors comprises a blend of family members and independent directors. Mr. Iqbal Ali Lakhani, Mr. Amin Mohammed Lakhani, and Mr. Babar Ali Lakhani, all categorized as “Other Directors,” are part of the family that has historically managed the company’s operations. Ms. Anushka Lakhani joins them as the sole female director.
The board also welcomes Mr. Aftab Ahmad, another “Other Director.” Adding to the independent oversight, Mr. Ali Aamir and Mr. Asif Qadir have been elected as independent directors, poised to bring unbiased perspectives to the board’s decisions.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this new formation of the board is expected to guide Century Paper and Board Mills through the next phase of its corporate governance and strategic planning.
