Chairperson Sindh Board of Investment along with delegation of Sindh Government visits head office of German company SIEMENS in Berlin

Karachi, April 19, 2016 (PPI-OT):Chairperson Sindh Board of Investment (SBI), Ms. Naheed Memon along with a delegation of Sindh Government visited the head office of the famous German company SIEMENS in Berlin Germany. Chairperson SBI, Ms. Naheed Memon and Managing Director SIEMENS Helmut Von Struve signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), said a statement issued here on Tuesday.

The MoU envisaged mutual cooperation in upgradation, modernization, maintenance, distribution and smart grid system development as well as further strengthening of infrastructure. Earlier, the members of Deutscher Industries und handelskammertag, (DIHK), the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry, have shown keen interest to invest in Sindh. They expressed their interest during a meeting with the Chairperson Sindh Board of Investment (SBI), Ms. Naheed Memon at the office of DIHK Berlin, Germany.

Ms. Naheed Memon briefed the DIHK members about investment opportunities, incentives and facilities offered to the investors in Sindh. Ms. Naheed Memon told the DIHK members that excellent investment opportunities are available in energy, agriculture, education, health, solid waste management and transport sectors in Sindh. The SBI delegation was informed that the DIHK is an association comprising over three million registered companies.
