Knife Attack at National Conference Rally in Poonch Injures Three

Jammu, A violent incident occurred at an election rally for the National Conference in the Mendhar area of Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir, where three people were injured due to a knife attack by unidentified assailants. The attack disrupted the gathering and led to severe injuries, with one person reported to be in critical condition.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the rally was suddenly disrupted when unknown individuals armed with knives attacked attendees, leading to injuries and chaos. The injured were initially taken to a local hospital, with one of the victims, identified as Sohail Ahmed from Mendhar town, subsequently transferred to GMC, Rajouri for advanced medical treatment due to the severity of his injuries.

The incident has prompted the National Conference to stage a protest demanding stringent punishment for those responsible for the attack, highlighting the tension and violence marring the electoral process in the region.
