China Challenges India’s Development Plans in Arunachal Pradesh, Claiming Territory

Beijing: In a firm assertion of territorial claims, China has declared that India has no right to pursue development activities in Arunachal Pradesh, which Beijing refers to as South Tibet. This statement marks a continuation of the longstanding border dispute between the two nations.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Chinese Foreign Ministry emphasized on Wednesday that the region in question belongs to China, and thus any development activities initiated by India are unauthorized. This response came after reports surfaced that New Delhi is planning to invest $1 billion in the construction of 12 hydropower stations in Arunachal Pradesh, aimed at boosting the region’s infrastructure and energy capacity.
