Concern expressed over killing of youth in IOK

Srinagar, September 15, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and other Hurriyat leaders and organizations have condemned the killing of youth by Indian troops in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, today.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a tweet message said, “Yet another bloody day in Kashmir, six more youth killed for involvement in resistance struggle based on justice. Our youth are being selectively killed and cordon and search operations are being carried out in a prolonged manner. The killings are an eye-opener for the international community.”

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party in a statement in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to the martyred youth. It said that the ongoing bloodshed in the territory was a result of the stubbornness and illogical approach of New Delhi. The irrational policies of India towards the Kashmir dispute are the main factors behind such bloodshed, it added.

The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front-R leaders, Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo and Advocate Ayoub Rathor, in a statement in Srinagar, paying tributes to the martyrs said, “Struggle of these youth against illegal control and oppression will always be remembered.”

The patron of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement, Farida Behenji in a statement issued in Srinagar, paying homage to the martyred youth, said that the sacrifices of Kashmiris had centre-staged the Kashmir dispute at the global level. She said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would definitely bring positive results soon.

The JKSM Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt. addressing corner meetings in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to the youths and condemned the use of brute force over civilians. He said that killing and other cheap tactics could not suppress the liberation movement.

Hizbul Mujahideen in a statement issued in Srinagar also paid glowing tributes to the martyred youth and reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to take the ongoing liberation movement to its logical conclusion against all odds.
