CRPF Soldier Commits Suicide in Baramulla, Kashmir

Srinagar, A tragic incident unfolded in Baramulla district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir as a soldier from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) took his own life on Friday. The event adds to the concerning number of similar occurrences within the armed forces stationed in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the CRPF personnel ended his life by firing his service rifle while at his camp located in the Rafiabad area of Baramulla district. The circumstances leading to this drastic action remain under investigation.

Following the incident, officials confirmed that the soldier’s body was transported to the Government Medical College in Baramulla for post-mortem examination, a standard procedure in such cases to understand the possible reasons behind the suicide.

The local police have initiated a formal inquiry into the matter, signaling the seriousness with which such incidents are treated by the authorities. This event underscores the ongoing challenges and pressures faced by security personnel serving in highly sensitive and conflict-prone areas.
