Death anniversary of poet, 1st DG Radio Pakistan, Z.A Bukhari observed

The 49th death anniversary of renowned broadcaster, poet and the first Director General of Radio Pakistan, Zulfiqar Ali Bukhari was observed on Friday.

Born in 1904 in Peshawar, Z.A. Bukhari started his career from All India Radio and after the creation of Pakistan became the first Director General of Radio Pakistan.

After his retirement from radio he became first General Manager Pakistan Television Karachi center in 1967.

He wrote several books including his famous autobiography ‘Sarguzasht’. His other books include, Jo Kuchh Main Ne Kaha and Raag Darya.
