Delhi court sends Aasiya Andrabi, two associates to Tihar Jail

New Delhi, July 16, 2018 (PPI-OT): Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chief Aasiya Andrabi along with her two associates was sent to one-month judicial custody by a Delhi court on the ridiculous charge of waging war against India.

Aasiya Andrabi was produced before the court along with her associates Fehmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen, today, after the expiry of their 10-day custody of National Investigation Agency, Indian probe agency notorious for implicating Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders in fake cases.

District Judge Poonam A Bamba sent the three DeM leaders to judicial custody after the NIA said they were not required for further custodial interrogation. They will be kept in New Delhi’s notorious Tihar Jail.

The case was registered against the three Kashmiri women leaders in April this year. Aasiya Andrabi was in a prison in Srinagar after Kashmir High Court cancelled her bail, last month. The NIA, on directions of Indian Home Ministry, registered a case against Aasiya Andrabi and her associates.
