Demo in Rajouri against killing of youth by BSF vehicle

Jammu, June 03, 2023 (PPI-OT):People staged a strong protest demonstration in Rajouri district of Jammu region against the killing of a youth by a vehicle of Indian Border Security Force (BSF).

A BSF vehicle deliberately hit a motorcycle in Kallar Gala area of the district, critically injuring the pillion rider namely Saqib Malik. He was immediately shifted to the Government Medical College (GMC), Rajouri, for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries during the treatment.

Later, the relatives of the deceased placed the dead body at Kallar Chowk and blocked Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway for hours. They held a strong protest against District Administration and BSF.

On the other hand, a driver and a helper of Water and Power Department died after a tanker fell into a gorge in Chowgund area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad district.

A 40-year-old woman, Bimbla Devi, was found hanging under mysterious circumstances in a cattle shed near her house in Surpa area of Udhampur district. Dead body of a man identified as Ashok Kumar (40) was recovered from a water tank in Sail Sallan area of the same district.

Meanwhile, a house collapsed in a landslide incident in Hirkhani Drubeel area of Kishtwar district of Jammu region. However, all the residents of the ill-fated house escaped unhurt in the incident.
