DIG Islamabad Commits to Resolving Public Grievances as Top Priority

Islamabad: In a concerted effort to enhance public service and accountability, DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza, under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Ali Rizvi, has reaffirmed the commitment to swiftly address public grievances. This pledge was made during a Khuli Kachehri session, an open forum held at his office where citizens and police officials aired their complaints.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, DIG Raza emphasized the importance of responsiveness and integrity within the force, stressing that there would be no tolerance for laxity in addressing public issues. The session saw senior police officers in attendance, ensuring that the complaints received were immediately marked for action based on merit, with strict timelines for resolution.

The DIG also highlighted the police department’s zero tolerance policy towards bribery and corruption, asserting that stringent actions will be taken against any officials found guilty of such offenses. He underlined the critical role of the Islamabad Police in safeguarding the lives, property, and dignity of citizens, stating that such community interactions will continue to promote transparency and proactive policing.

Raza added that the ongoing Khuli Kachehris are crucial for fostering a culture of friendly policing and ensuring the immediate resolution of citizens’ problems, contributing significantly to the overall safety and satisfaction of the community.
