District Launches Extensive Anti-Polio Drive

Dukki: Deputy Commissioner Kaleemullah Kakar inaugurated an extensive anti-polio campaign in the Dukki district by administering polio drops to children, marking the start of a significant public health initiative aimed at immunizing 41,967 children against polio.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, The campaign features 158 mobile teams, four fixed teams, and four transit teams, all under the protection of Levies and police personnel to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations. The presence of representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Department of Health underscored the campaign’s importance. Deputy Commissioner Kakar addressed the media, emphasizing that polio eradication is a national priority and that there will be strict adherence to achieving the campaign goals. He called for rigorous efforts from all teams to ensure that no child is missed and warned of strict actions against any non-compliance.
