Dubai Celebrates Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with Flag Hoisting Ceremony

Dubai: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai commemorated Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with a flag hoisting ceremony that drew a large gathering of the Pakistani community and their families, highlighting the deep ties between Pakistan and the UAE.

According to Press Information Department, the ceremony included the reading of messages from Pakistan’s leadership, including the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister. Consul General Hussain Muhammad welcomed attendees, reflecting on Pakistan’s history and the sacrifices made for independence on August 14, 1947. He praised the enduring spirit of Pakistan’s founders and emphasized the potential of Pakistan to surmount its challenges.

Mr. Hussain also spoke about the strong relationship between Pakistan and the UAE, noting that the UAE is home to over 1.7 million Pakistanis contributing to various sectors. He urged the Pakistani expatriates to respect local laws and traditions and to continue positively influencing their host country. The event also featured performances of national songs by volunteers, adding a festive atmosphere to the celebration.
