Economic Coordination Committee has allowed the export of sugar up to 100,000 metric tons (MT).
The decision was taken during a meeting held in Islamabad today (Thursday) with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair.
It was further decided that the ECC shall review the situation on fortnightly basis. The ECC further directed and Pakistan Sugar Mills Association committed that the existing price of sugar will not increase in domestic market at least till 31st January, next year.
The ECC also approved Technical Supplementary Grants worth of seven million rupees in favour of Ministry of Climate Change and over 743 million rupees in favour of Ministry of Housing and Works for execution of its development schemes.
