ECP rejects Sunni Ittehad Council’s petition regarding reserved seats in assemblies

The Election Commission of Pakistan has rejected the petition filed by Sunni Ittehad Council seeking allocation of reserved seats in the National and Provincial Assemblies.

The 4-1 majority decision said that the Sunni Ittehad Council failed to submit its priority lists well in time due to which seats reserved for women and non-Muslims cannot be allotted to the party.
